About Veronica Azua

Organisational Psychologist & Executive Coaching

One of the most impactful formative experiences in my life have been leaving my native Argentina behind and moving to London. The decision, though, was not as tough as what came next … building a new life in a foreign environment.

From very early I have been fascinated by psychology, having grown in a country dominated by psychoanalyses, my career background have initially been in psychoanalytical psychotherapy. I then realised that most of our time is spent at work and I became curious about how much of our ‘psychological baggage’ we inevitably bring into the workplace without noticing.

When moving to the UK I have specialised in Organisational Psychology and during the past decade I have been working in leadership development, talent management and coaching.

A key pattern I have noticed while working with leaders has been the self-criticism and high self- demands that leaders place on themselves. This was one of the reason that led me to study a doctorate researching the impact of self-doubts in leaders at a point of transition in the workplace.

In the past 15 years have worked with Partners and Directors at KPMG, as a consultant in the Human Capital team at Deloitte, as an executive coach for the London Business School and in Burberry as a global talent manager.
